My career in the veterinary industry began at 17, when I took a job at the veterinary hospital next door to the video store where I was working. That role sparked a path that led to earning my Veterinary Technician license and building a career rooted in high standards of care.
I spent years working in both emergency and general practice environments known for exceptional medical and operational excellence, and later had the opportunity to manage a high-performing general practice alongside a strong leadership team.
From there, I transitioned into a consultative role with a leading veterinary Group Purchasing Organization, supporting 240 independent practice owners across Virginia, Maryland, DC, and Delaware. During this time, I completed my Certified Veterinary Business Leader (CVBL) training to strengthen my ability to bridge the gap between veterinary medicine and effective business management. I was later promoted to Regional Manager for the East Coast, where I coached and developed a team of Veterinary Practice Consultants. After two years, I moved into a national leadership role, continuing to build training platforms, mentor consultants, and partner with practices to improve revenue, operations, and overall performance.
The Vet Detective started as a podcast in 2021. I launched 12 episodes and hosted several amazing industry experts, to include -just to name a few- Walter Brown, RVTg, VTS (ECC), Dr. Peter Weinstein, Julie Squires, CCFS, CLC, Bash Halow, CVPM, LVT, and Julie Antonellis, LVT, VTE (ECC). As much as I enjoyed hosting the podcast, I had to focus on other priorities for a while, but I hope to launch new episodes one day. Stay tuned!
